McDonald’s has unveiled a new marketing campaign surrounding the Hamburglar being a “suburban dad”. I guess even known criminals have to settle down some time, right?
Wait, is this who we think it is??! https://t.co/rc9xhQrAUi

From the back, the guy does kinda look like Senators goalie Andrew Hammond, who was nicknamed the Hamburglar in college for his “ability to steal wins“. Check out the picture and decide for yourself …

Sadly though, McDonald’s said there was no connection between their new mini-van driving criminal and the Ottawa Senators goaltender:
“We’re a fan of Andrew’s and respect his skills, but no, there’s no connection,” McDonald’s media relations director Lisa McCombs said in an email to Sporting News. “These days, he’s a suburban dad. Previously, the Hamburglar had been living a quiet life until the release of Sirloin Third Pound Burgers, which lured him back into the public eye.”
I don’t know. Seems a little too convenient to me. A media relations person throwing all of us off the trail. We figured out eventually that Bruce Wayne was Batman, Clark Kent was the Son of Jor-El, and that Tobey Maguire was bitten by a spider which gave him the super powers. We know the truth, Ms. McCombs. And we’re on to you.
