The Masters was a runaway from the ceremonial first tee shot. Jordan Spieth was unreal from tee to green, from Thursday to Sunday. Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose tried their best to create a little Sunday drama, but Spieth was just too good. So where were you going to find some Sunday golf drama?
Well if you follow Dan Jenkins on twitter, the Golf Digest writer created some for you, in the form of his completely unofficial, totally made up Match Play Food Bracket. In a series of tweets on Sunday morning, Jenkins pitted eight foods against each other and advanced each food with criteria that only he knows.

Thoughts:
- Give the peach cobbler credit … it advanced all the way to the final out of a tough bracket. They’re the Wichita State of food.
- Lots of egg related dishes made it. The barbecue conference is probably complaining about the food version of the Big Ten.
- The chili dog is really going to take a long, hard look at itself for next year. All that hype and a first round exit. Recruiting will be key. Raw onions? Red Peppers? Toasted bun?
- Same for the Pimento Cheese sandwich, whose demise as a mythical favorite, if you believe people who have tried it, has been coming for some time now.
- I’m taking this way, way, way too seriously.
But give Jenkins credit. These wasn’t just some off the cuff choices here. This took research. Lots of research.

The good thing is that with prices being better than you would expect, Jenkins could buy all of these items for less than twenty bucks.
